Before we know it, summer will be over and it will be “Back to School” time! Children throughout the region will pick out pencils, notebooks, and more for their first day of school. Unfortunately, many parents of children in Twin Oaks programs cannot afford new backpacks and basic school supplies for the upcoming school year.
We invite the community to “Fill-A-Backpack” for a child or teen in need of support. A new backpack and school supplies will give a child hope and the confidence needed to start the school year off on the right foot!
The Keith Schwab Kick-Off Classic Soccer Tournament will be held at the Crows Woods Facility on Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. This year the Planning Committee’s primary objective is to make this event as memorable as Keith would have wanted it. Eighth grade Girl Scouts from HMS are collecting art supplies for Robin’s Nest. Robins’ Nest, a nonprofit, children’s services organization, provides art therapy counseling for abused and troubled children.
